On the first day of the State-X New Forms festival, Puzzling Pulses is a night filled with electronic music from The Hague. There will be multiple live performances with glitchy beats, eerie soundscapes and hypnotizing vocals.

tomlaan

tomlaan is a young DJ/Producer and Interactive/Media/Design student at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Tom does not limit himself to one type of media by exploring and combining intersections between the fields of interaction design, graphic design, moving image and – off course – music. As a DJ and producer Tom is constantly searching for new developments in music over a wide variety of styles, ranging from wonky/broken beat concepts. to hip-hop to various heavy bassline sub-genere's.

Generate

The music that Generate generates out of the speakers is defined as a hyperactive mix of drum and bass, dubstep and IDM. But not only bass and rhythmic vibes find there way in his music, also atmospheric melodies merge into the foreground. Live he plays a midi keyboard and is applying effects with ableton. Generate makes innovative music by looking beyond existing boundaries and by working together with other musicians such as guitarists and singer-songwriters.

Loyu

Since singer Baiba Yurkevich joined Clipslice in a performance at Plein Open Festival 2011, the duo is now performing under one name: Loyu.

The music is mainly electronic and ranges from soft lyrical atmospheres to intense industrial beats and soundscapes.

Two musicians with totally different backgrounds, Loyu will be a new direction for both.

Einóma

is a collaboration between two Icelandic friends and studio partners, Bjarni and Steindór. Having released two highly acclaimed albums as well as various 12", remixes and compilation tracks, the pair recently teamed up again in the Netherlands. The first impressions of the new meetings can be found on the recent ep´s 'Tvenna' and 'Lost&Found'. The duo is now working on a third album.
